Who we are
Coming Soon Project (“we”, “us”) runs comingsoonproject.com, a guide to new restaurants, bars and cafés built from publicly available information. Questions about this policy: hello@comingsoonproject.com.
What we collect when you visit
- No accounts and no cookies. You don’t sign up to use the site, and we don’t set cookies or use advertising trackers.
- Basic request data. Like every website, our hosting provider receives the technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. It is used to run and secure the site, not to build a profile of you.
- Visit counts. We may use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits in aggregate, without cookies and without identifying you.
- ZIP code searches. When you search a ZIP code, the search runs in your browser. We don’t store the ZIP codes you search.
- No third-party content. Our pages, fonts and images are served from our own site.
When you contact us or subscribe
If you use our business owner form, join the Friday Drop or email us, we receive what you send: your name, email address, phone number if you add it, your ZIP code if you add it, and your message. We use it only to answer you, to fix or update a listing, or to send the newsletter you asked for. You can stop the Friday Drop at any time by replying “unsubscribe.”
Information about businesses
Our listings describe businesses: business names, business addresses, and the public steps toward opening, changing hands or closing. This comes from publicly available information. We do not publish home addresses or owners’ personal names, phone numbers or email addresses. If you own or run a business we list and something is wrong, or a listing shows personal information, email hello@comingsoonproject.com and we’ll correct or remove it promptly.
Sharing and selling
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting and email), when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and our visitors.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing (we don’t sell or share it). To make a request, email hello@comingsoonproject.com. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep requests and emails only as long as we need them to answer you, keep a correction in place, or send a newsletter you signed up for. We use reasonable safeguards, but no website can promise perfect security.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.

The Friday Drop
Every Friday: what was filed near you this week, what opened, and what’s closing.
Free, every Friday. Add your ZIP and we’ll lead with what’s near you.
How we know
Every opening leaves a paper trail. We match permits, licenses and inspections to one place per address and show where each project stands.

Everything here is built from publicly available information. Business names only; home addresses and personal names are never shown. Logos belong to their owners. Dates marked “registered” come from the business and can change. Spot a mistake? Send a correction · How it works
