Questions

Where does the information come from?

Everything comes from publicly available records: building permits, business registrations, liquor licenses and inspections. We match them to one place per address and check every day.

How early will I hear about a place?

Usually at its first public filing. Places that have opened were on our list a median of 69 days before they opened.

Which areas do you cover?

96 metros across 18 states, with more on the way. Search your ZIP code on the home page to see what’s near you.

Can I cancel?

Anytime, from your account page. Pro stays on until the end of the month you paid for.

How many ZIP codes can I follow?

Up to 25, each with a distance from 5 to 50 miles.

Can I get a place’s phone number?

Every place in your search results and alerts has a ready-made Google search. Once a place shows up on Google Maps, which many do before they open, it also links to its listing, with the phone number, hours and website when the business has added them. The spreadsheet has both links.

Is my payment safe?

Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card.
